Description :
Founded in 1929, Annamalai University is the first private university and one of Asia's largest public residential universities located in India. Annamalai University is one of the first institutions in the country to offer courses of higher education in science, engineering, humanities, agriculture and arts. A pioneer in imparting quality education, it was taken over by the Tamil Nadu government in 2013 and has emerged as one of the largest public residential university with 10 faculties and 49 departments of study.The university also provides more than 500 courses through distance learning mode. Only candidates with the relevant qualifying degree can register themselves for admission to courses offered by the Faculty of Education. Admission to the B.Ed and M.Ed programmes is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the qualifying examination degree merit. Eligible candidates can apply for admission to the courses by downloading the application forms available at the university website. Completed applications should be submitted to the university office, along with the processing fee of Rs. 400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/SCA candidates).
Eligibility Criteria :
The candidate must have undergone 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern of study. Must have cleared qualifying examinations. Engineering and Technology candidates must have undergone 10+2+4 (16) pattern of education. Candidates who have passed the UG or PG Degree in Open University System without qualifying in 11 years SSLC examination (or) 10+2 pattern of School Education examination shall not be considered for admission. Candidates who possess UG degree in the following courses can apply for admission in their respective field of study- Applied Mathematics Physics Geophysics Biophysics and Electronics Biochemistry and Applied Chemistry Biotechnology and Plant Biology & Plant Biotechnology Environmental Science and Microbiology The applicants who qualified in PG degree and secured 50% of marks with the same subjects in UG Degree but not fulfilling the minimum percentage of marks required in UG degree as per community/category-wise will be eligible.
Other Information :
Engineering/Technology candidates must have specialized in Science and Mathematics with 55% of marks or another equivalent qualification. The candidates belonging to SC/SCA/ST categories candidates should have scored a minimum of 50% marks. Applicants who have passed a PG degree in Economics and Commerce without undergoing 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 pattern of education shall not be granted admission. Register by creating Log-in credentials. Proceed with the application form. Enter personal and academic details. Mention the marks obtained in the qualifying exams. Upload the photograph. Click on “Click to verify the application.” Verify the details. Submit the form. Pay the fees either through the online payment mode or through the DD. The Demand Draft should be taken in favor of The Registrar, Annamalai University.
